This is a cute set from Kiki De Montparnasse- amour baby doll top and bloomers. I love bloomers. They are so "old fashioned" yet they had it right back then. Comfortable and airy, a wonderful thing for a hot and steamy June in NYC.

I LOVE this dress. The fit, the length, the color. I love how she pairs the red earrings and sunglasses with it... a home run. Very nice. Need to find where this dress (or is it a skirt and top?) is from and purchase immediately.
I went into the wedding dress hunt knowing that I wanted to find a dress that could be shortened after the wedding for more wears, at least every anniversary. As I am coming up on my first wedding anniversary, I hurried to find someone that could help me with the task. The highest and most frequently recommended (actually the only name I heard) was Madame Paulette on 2nd Ave.
I was nervous about shortening the dress but knew it was the only way I would ever wear it again. I didn't think about a daughter wearing it as I figure she will want her own style. If she wanted to, she could always wear my shortened dress to her rehearsal dinner or something.
Below are the results. I am so happy. I absolutely love it and feel like I went from a gorgeous Vera Wang wedding gown to a beautiful couture cocktail dress. The back of my dress, with the bustle, was always my favorite part and we were able to retain that in the short design.
Charlize Theron has been on the red carpet circuit for Hancock, her new movie with Will Smith and Jason Bateman that I cannot wait to see. This black Narcisco Rodriguez dress was yet another gorgeous choice.
Don't you wish you could keep a registry of everything you want on a daily basis? And then your thoughtful husband, boyfriend or friends could go online and see your registry and surprise you with an amazing gift you picked out? There wouldn't have to be a reason for the gift. Someone Spoil Me has created a site where you can create such a registry! Mine is for "life" but you could make one for a legitimate cause: wedding, baby, new shoe month...
I'll take these diamond earrings form Cartier please.
A designer that has come to my attention recently. I saw this satin yellow mini skirt with the bow detailing at the bottom in Elle magazine. The bubble dress below is so princess-ly and the shorts suit is an ideal summer work outfit.

For some reason, Bill Blass always struck me as a designer for the older woman set. Not sure why. Recently though, it has been popping up all over the red carpet and in magazines. The above dress is so gorgeous, I love the flow of the cream skirt.
This feathery creation was on the website, very fun.

Jennifer Morrison is from my favorite show House on TV. She looks so cute in this ruffled dress by 3.1 Phillip Lim. The necklaces she chose perfectly accent the look.
My friend wore this 3.1 Phillip Lim dress to a wedding this weekend- it was gorgeous! And while I only found one place online to buy it (only limited sizes remaining), perhaps she'll write in a comment on where she found it.
A little something different today. From the new Elle magazine, some underwear on the royal side. I'm not sure you'll feel like a queen in these but you'll be sure to make someone laugh. Change into them in the locker room at the gym, see what happens.
I know I already posted about these booties but this is important. After I posted about them (having seen them on bergdorfgoodman.com) they disappeared. I couldn't find them online anywhere or in stores.
Well, they're back. They are on bergdorfgoodman.com again and I tried them on at Barneys yesterday... They are everything I thought they would be. Plus, they aren't as tall as I thought they'd be making them more wearable. I have not purchased... yet... but it was a struggle to walk out without them. I may just have to go get them next week. They are called "Hidden Platform Booties." Tip: They run small, order a 1/2 inch larger.

My husband is crazy and went looking for the impossible to find Chanel Robertson Boulevard nail polishes. He was able to find Rodeo Drive- which is a gorgeous light purple. I'm excited to get a manicure tomorrow.
He also got me this very cute, very summery, very comfy t-shirt by Seaton from Intermix.

Taylor Swift wearing my rehearsal dinner dress, that I wore LAST year. Yes, I was ahead of the curve. I must say this is the best dress I have ever purchased. It looks amazing on and is a classic style. I have worn it countless times over the past year and will be wearing it to many a wedding this summer. It is by Laila Azhar and is also available in white at www.shopbop.com
Here I am in said dress at my rehearsal dinner looking as though I'm worried someone might have spilled some champagne, thus wasting it. Sadly this is the best photo of the dress from that night.
I just watched this preview for a new movie called "The Women" and Annette Bening looks really strange. I love Annette, a genius in American Beauty, but I think she did something to her face. And Meg Ryan, who is supposed to be the one with all the work done looks great.
What do you think? Click the image above to watch the preview.
This is a "fierce" look. I have never used that term to describe fashion before but it seems appropriate here, doesn't it? They say this outfit is Fendi but these leggings look a lot like the shiny American Apparel leggings everyone is raving about.

If you live in Manhattan, you probably know Fishes Eddy. I just love all the colorful patterns on industrial strength plates, bowls and mugs. I have a collection by Cynthia Rowley that is no longer at the store that has people and lingerie about the edges. The collection above, also by Cynthia Rowley, is a bit more risque but equally colorful and clever. Called "Dirty Dishes" if features woman in bikinis or lingerie lounging about.
Below are some glasses from the Alice in Wonderland collection that I gave my sister for her birthday.
It is my birthday this week and I received this postcard from Agent Provocateur encouraging me to treat myself to something at their store. Unfortunately, there was no discount accompanying this offer so I won't be taking them up on it just now.
(I am in between jobs, must not shop... While I'm on the subject, it is so cruel that when you are in between jobs or out of work with all the time in the world, you don't have the money to shop... Cruel.)
The lingerie on the card is from their Love Collection.
Here it is again. This time larger and on Beyonce. (Previously talked about on Jessica Simpson.) These colorful bags are by Dolce & Gabbana. A large version of the bag below. I still think it's a lot of color but it does spice up a white or monotone outfit.
As a side note, Beyonce is looking very pretty and svelte here. She is seen leaving one of my favorite restaurants- Bar Pitti in Soho. Great lamb meatballs.
