Costa Rican Monday

Since I will be in Costa Rica on Monday and perhaps unable to post, I thought I'd post for Monday early.  In honor of our Costa Rican vacation and all the monkeys we'll be seeing, here is a cute sleep/lounge set covered in monkey motif.

Doggie Sweater

We drove by this dog in Minnesota and I remarked that I wished I had taken a photo.  As we were doubling back by the same area, the dog was still there, so I made Tim pull over for a photo op.  The woman thought I was crazy but obliged.  I love the heart for one eye.

New Year's Best

I ended up in jeans and a tee for the festivities last night.  Which in Tyler, TX consisted of Apples to Apples, Dominoes, Pictionary and several bottles of wine.  It was very fun but didn't demand the outfit I had originally planned on. Therefore, I would love to see what dresses, skirts, and outfits my fashionable readers had on.  Send in pics to me at katekrupert@gmail.com 

My friend Laura was wearing a great white satin jacket from Ryu.  See her at right.  I can find nothing about Ryu as of now... Ryu, where are you?

I got this awesome Glam Noir studded business card holder for Christmas from my fashion savvy sister.  Coincidentally, I also just found these great studded sandals from Roberto Cavalli on Net-A-Porter and think they are so cute for resort wear.  If only I had them for romping 'round Costa Rica.

Last 2008 Monday

It's the last Monday of 2009 and I thought we'd exit with something nice and pretty.  I love this gorgeous flowing nightgown from Kiki De Montparnasse.  The black fingerless gloves and heels are great accessories as well.

Merry Christmas!

My husband and I have a tradition, 4 years running, of opening the "main" present from each other Christmas Eve.  As usual, I was surprised.  I never know what he's going to get me and I am always even more surprised once I hear the story that goes along with the present.  He really knows me, that's for sure.  As you all know from the blog, I have a little thing about skulls... The below bracelet from Tom Binns was this years gorgeous surprise.

I couldn't imagine how he had found and landed on this bracelet.  Well, he had actually been paying attention when I mentioned a pair of Alexander McQueen earrings I liked from the Net-A-Porter notebook- The Maharajah Earrings (below).  But they were sold out everywhere.  

So, while we were in San Francisco, he went to one of my favorite stores- Susan- to check out what was available and get some help.  (He has been here before and the salespeople know us.) He told the woman about the earrings and that I like Alexander McQueen, the woman immediately started pulling out several items for him to look at.  He says that as soon as he saw this bracelet, he knew it was the one.  He was right.  

As much as I loved those chandelier earrings, I wouldn't have been able to wear them everyday like I can the bracelet.  I love that people won't be able to tell there are skulls on it right away but upon closer inspection will be surprised.  It is something of a collector's item as not many were made and each skull is hand made and unique.

On Second Glance

So on first look, I love this Alexander McQueen dress but after looking at in a bit longer, I realized that there is a nude sort of band around her legs to the knees and also peeking out of the low neck at the top. Hmmm.
